What it does for you

Why tint your lights?

A sports car’s taillight up close

A smoked look

A light smoke film over the taillights gives the back of the car a darker, finished look.

An Audi RS6 headlight with clear protection film on the lens

Stone-chip protection

Clear film over the headlight lenses takes the chips and scratches from the road.

No more yellowing

The film takes the sun’s UV, so the lens underneath stays clear.

Comes off cleanly

It is film, not paint or spray, so it can come off later without marking the lens.

How it works

What headlight and taillight tint is

Light tint is a thin film laid over the lens, not a paint or a spray. A smoked film darkens the taillights for a sharper look; a clear film over the headlights protects the lens from stone chips and from turning yellow in the sun.

Your lights must still show their proper color and be bright enough to see and be seen. Heavy smoke on headlights is not road legal, so on headlights we fit clear or the lightest smoke, and we keep taillights bright enough to work as they should.

Each piece is cut to the shape of your lens and finished at the edges, and it can come off later without marking the light.

Questions

Headlight and taillight tinting questions

Is tinting headlights legal in Washington?

Your headlights must keep their proper color and brightness, so heavy smoke on headlights is not road legal. We fit clear protection film or the lightest smoke on headlights.

Can I smoke my taillights?

A light smoke, yes — the lights must still show red and be bright enough to see. We will show you the shade before it goes on.

Will it damage my lights?

No. It is film, not paint or spray, and it comes off later without marking the lens.

Does clear film stop headlights going yellow?

Yes. The film takes the sun’s UV and the chips from the road, so the lens underneath stays clear.

How long does it take?

It depends on the car and how many lights. We tell you how long yours will take when we book.
